Ok, firstly, it’s not all day Wednesday. Baskin-Robbins‘ discount is only in effect from 5p-10p, but that’s a pretty good window of opportunity (especially here in Massachusetts where they share space with omnipresent Dunkin’ Donuts). 31 cents will get you a 2.5oz scoop, and Baskin-Robbins is donating $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
Meanwhile on Thursday, Carvel is launching both a new line of light ice cream and a dozen new “Flavor Shotz.” Their way of celebrating is to give out free samples in the form of a 3.5oz cone
Unfortunately for us Bostoners, the only local Carvel store that’s still in operation is in Malden. Carvel’s presence in Massachusetts is so light that our grocery store freezers don’t even stock Flying Saucers anymore.
